Chainmail gloves give exceptional protection against cuts and stab-type injuries from knives and sharp tools. They are made from interlinked stainless steel rings, so they stay flexible and comfortable during long shifts in meat processing, butchery and food preparation. Our range includes the Portwest AC01 Chainmail Glove, the AC10 Chainmail Gauntlet (45cm) for extended forearm cover, and AC05 Glove Tensioners (Pk50) for a secure fit. These are durable, long-lasting gloves built for the highest-risk knife work.
Butchers, meat and poultry processors, fishmongers and anyone doing repeated knife work where a slip could cause a serious cut.
A glove covers the hand and wrist. The AC10 gauntlet extends to 45cm to protect the forearm as well.
Tensioners, such as the AC05 Pk50, keep the chainmail glove snug on the hand. This stops the glove from shifting and improves control and safety.
Stainless steel chainmail can be washed and sanitised, which suits food environments. Always follow the manufacturer’s care instructions.
Usually one, on the non-knife hand that holds the product. Your risk assessment should confirm what your task needs.
